Running for the 12th year, Esso Challenge 2012 kicked off on April 17 as a project to boost the job skills and social responsibility of 28 selected students over a month-and-a-half period.
According to Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul, Esso (Thailand)’s director and manager for public and government affairs, the project won strong support from educational institutes as part of their cooperation with the private sector to create a qualified and ethical workforce.
Under this year’s theme, "The infinite ability", they will attend real-work training conducted by Esso (Thailand) and ExxonMobil in Thailand, as well as by university lecturers and other renowned outside figures. "This project aims to strengthen the foundations of success – leadership, social responsibility, innovation and teamwork. Knowledge is not only in textbooks," Mongkolnimit said.
