Veerasak takes charge of Thai Oil

Veerasak Kositpaisal, former CEO of PTT Global Chemical Plc, has since May 1 become the new chief of Thai Oil Plc, as part of the top executive reshuffle at PTT Group.


 He will succeed Surong Bulakul, who is now appointed the chief financial officer of PTT.
 At 58, Veerasak held a bachelor degree in machinery engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a master degree in engineering from Texas A&I University. From his first job at ExxonMobil, he has over 20 years of experience in the retail oil and petrochemical industry. He joined PTT Group in 2005 as PTT executive vice president and senior executive vice president of PTT Chemical Plc. He remained chief of PTT Global Chemical, which was created from the merger of PTT Chemical and PTT Aromatic and Refining.
 Aside from Thai Oil, he is serving as PTT senior executive vice president for downstream petrochemical business; chairman of Emery Oleochemicals, PTT Chemical International and Vinythai.
