Govt Lottery Office to resume lotto scheme

 Poj Maj Gen Attagrit Therachat, director general of the agency, said that the lotto would be available on line.
 "This should generate fat revenue for the government and help get rid of underground lottery," he said today.
 The two and three-digit lotto was introduced in the era of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and was cancelled by the Surayud Government.
 Attagrit also unveiled the plan to split first-prize money of the government lottery, to tackle the overpricing issue. The office will also tackle the bundling of lottery with similar figures by some vendors, who seek to lure high-prize-seeking buyers with overpriced lottery.
