According to ML Nandhika Varavarn, Bangkok Airways’ vice president for Corporate Communications, the uniforms were designed by Polpat Asavaprapha of the ASAVA brand, Thailand’s leading designer.
"The new uniform was launched in May 2012 and we received positive feedback from passengers and fashion gurus that they are so colourful, practical and modern. We use different shades of blue which is our airline’s corporate colour. This underlines our slogan – Asia’s Boutique Airline,” she said.
To the designer, blue stripes representing blue wave and sky is inspired from the painting on Bangkok Airways’ aircraft.
