SCB debentures fully subscribed
Siam Commercial Bank’s subordinated debentures worth Bt20 billion were fully subscribed in the first day.
In a statement yesterday, SCB president Kannikar Chalitaporn said the success reflected investors’ confidence in the bank’s financial strength and outstanding performance. The proceeds from the 12-year debentures, offered to the general public from September 5-14, will strengthen the bank’s Tier 2 capital and support future lending and expansion, she said.
The bank in February raised Bt20 billion from a 10-year subordinated debt issue. – The Nation
