The three candidates are Worawit Chalimpamontri, current president of Government Housing Bank; Thatchapol Kanchanakul, an executive of Government Savings Bank; and Thai Asset Management Corporation (TAMC)'s ex-executive Chaovarat Chaochavanil.
Pannee insisted that the existing board has power to proceed with the appointment. Though their term ended in October, but their status remains without official notification of any change from the Finance Ministry.
