NBC president Adisak Limprungpatanakij said the joint launch with partners of the seventh annual event had made it a country-level game show and a joyful way for kids and their families to celebrate Children’s Day. Show No Limit managing director Pongsuk Hiranyapruek said leading game-makers would parade their latest offerings at the event.
Show highlights include a console game competition, the display of high-tech gadgets and a cosplay contest.
There will also be business matching between Asean game-makers and those interested in jumping into the business under the Asean Connect concept, and a “MICE Digitally Yours” seminar arranged by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
Last year, the value of all games in Thailand was estimated at Bt13 billion, of which Bt5 billion was for online products. The market is expected to grow 20 per cent to Bt18 billion this year, Pongsuk said.
