Masterkool looking to boost sales by 73%

Masterkool International Co, the innovator and developer of alternative cooling systems, plans to boost its sales by 73 per cent to Bt400 million this year from Bt230 million last year by focusing on modern trade channels including HomePro and Macro outle

Managing director Noppachai Veeraman said last week that this year the company is celebrating its 10 anniversary in Thailand, so it will target the consumer market with a new line of cost-effective products to fight the rising cost of living.
The company sees strong demand for alternative cooling systems, as people are concerned about global warming.
This boosts the business of all segments, particularly small business and consumer, like home and condominium owners who do not wish to install air-conditioners because of the steeper electric bills.
Besides offering quality pro-ducts and services, Masterkool has set aside a budget of Bt15
million to deliver the marketing message to every target customer that its products are “The Perfect Alternative Cooling Solutions for Those Areas Where Air Conditioning Is Not Appropriate or Economical: Efficiently Cool, Energy-Saving, Eco-Friendly and 100-per-cent Safe to Use”.
The company is expanding its distribution channels to HomePro and Macro outlets and other retailers nationwide and in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Last year its turnover increased by 27 per cent.
Alternative cooling solu-tions will be a business with continuing growth due to rising temperatures, rising electricity charges and rising awareness that air-conditioners are the appliance that consumes the most energy at home.
“Customers now want a better alternative. Today’s consumers have more understanding and acceptance of misting fans and evaporative cooling systems than before,” he said.
“The company is confident these factors will help the cooling solution market to grow 30 per cent a year on average from now on,” he added.
