Yadana maintenance is 50% complete: PTT

The maintenance of Yadana gas rig has been 50 per cent completed as of April 9, according to PTT.

Chakree Buranakanon, senior executive vice president of PTT, said that since the gas rig was closed on April 5 for the maintenance, energy management has gone as planned.
PTT reports the supply of 4,200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day from the Gulf of Thailand and onshore fields during the April 5-9 period. Meanwhile, in replacement of natural gas from Myanmar, 49 million litres of diesel and 24 million litres of bunker oil have been used for electricity generating.
According to Chakree, the volume of oil consumed is below expectation, thanks to all parties' participation in the national energy-saving campaign.
He is confident that the situation would remain in order until gas supply from Myanmar will resume on April 14.
