Seven Thai firms awarded

University of Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Business+ magazine announced this year's Thai Top Company Awards, recognising firms that have set a good example in social responsibility and inspired others for economic sustainability.

The winners are: PTT Exploration and Production, Samitivej Hospital, Siam Commercial Bank, Advanced Info Service, Toyota Motor Thailand and Bangkok Airways. IRPC won votes from the magazine’s readers as “CSR of the Year” in recognition of its continued social contribution.
“It is our effort to benchmark corporate success, through the reliable and accountable criteria,” said Saowanee Thairungroj, the university’s rector.
The entries are evaluated in terms of management efficiency. “This is to inspire Thai companies to improve their competitiveness, which will raise Thailand’s profile in the international arena particularly in light of the Asean Economic Community.”
