Stwo Group building plant in Rangsit

Stwo Group (Thailand) will open a Bt150-million plant for modular buildings in five months in Pathum Thani to cash in on the growth of the property industry.

“We expect to sell about 100 Aidol MYH-branded houses and buildings constructed under the modular system this year. Between 300 and 500 modular houses and buildings will be sold to our customers over three to five years,” Prerapat Srisakulpinyo, chief executive officer of the local manufacturer of boutique home furnishing products, said yesterday.
Developers have enjoyed strong growth of about 30 per cent this year thanks to the rise in spending power of provincial consumers and the expansion of urban areas, he said.
On 16 rai (2.6 hectares) at Klong 6 in the Rangsit area, the plant applies technological know-how from Germany and will employ 200 workers. The company is prepared to expand its furnishing and modular housing businesses into neighbouring countries when their real-estate markets are much more developed, which is expected to take about three years.
Under the Stwo umbrella are Starmark, a designer and manufacturer of kitchen furniture for almost 30 years; Mogen, billed as a trendsetter in bathroom furniture; Karenza, a designer and manufacturer of total interior systems; Bessi, a specialist in kitchen design; and Aidol, a designer of creative living space and knocked-down stairs to fit in with consumers’ lifestyles.
The company’s plant in Samut Sakhon for knocked-down stairs and its plant in Rangsit for kitchen and bathroom furniture are now running at 50-60 per cent of capacity.
The stair kits are supplied to many leading residential developers such as Pruksa, Q House, Sansiri and Property Perfect.
