Makro supports Trat's 'Green City' policy

Siam Makro recently celebrated the opening of its store in Trat province with a tree-planting led by the company CEO Suchada Ithijarukul, along with executives, and more than 140 employees.
Together, they planted trees in one of a number of designated green areas around the store, affirming Makro’s support of Trat’s “Green City” policy.
In addition, Makro’s new store is an environmentally friendly building with a host of energy-saving technologies and materials, including the use of LED lighting and heat-resistant materials on the roof to minimise heat absorption. Wastewater from the store will also be reused in the store cooling and air conditioning systems.
