No discussion yet on Pailin's future

PTT's board of directors will not this week discuss the possible suspension on the company's president and CEO, Pailin Chuchottaworn, said its chairman.

Vichet Kasemthongsri, chairman, said that the issue would not be among the agenda for the meeting on June 28.
Earlier this week, the House Committee on anti-corruption received a petition for the investigation into Pailin. There was a doubt if as president of PTT, a state enterprise, Pailin has breached the rules and regulations to serve in a private company's board of directors.
Pailin now serves as an independent director of Fraser & Neave, following Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi's takeover of the Malaysia-based company.
Pailin himself said that the House Committee has yet summoned him for a testimony. He was also surprised why this became an issue. He has already resigned from F&N.
The company's Audit Committee, chaired by Chulasingh Vasantasingh who is also the attorney general, is now launching an investigation into the matter.
