Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) recently appointed Banesh Prabhu as senior executive vice president and head of the bank’s technology and operations group, to enhance its strength in terms of technology and leadership in financial innovation, support the bank’s operations and services at home and business expansion in the Asean region. 

Prabhu, who joined SCB this month, is a technology management and financial solutions veteran with more than 30 years’ experience with international financial firms and institutions. 

He held several senior global roles in operations and technology in Citibank for 23 years where he was responsible for developing strategy, managing implementation of global delivery and servicing clients in international markets. 

 

Household LPG to get costlier from Sept 1  

 

Energy Ministry Pongsak Ruktapongpisal said LPG price for household consumption will rise by 50 stang per kilogramme in September this year.

 Rises in price will continue until reaching Bt24.85 per kilogramme in October 2014.

   He said after a meeting of the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) that household LPG price will be kept at  Bt18.13 a  kilogramme from June 30 to August 31 as scheduled and the price increases will take place from  September 1 onward.
