Co-hosting the anniversary celebrations are Bangkok Bank, Toyota, Holcim and Thai Airways International in association with Asia News Network, an alliance of 22 media organisations in 19 Asian countries.
The Asian chief executives will share their visions on the future of the region and how Asian companies can deliver sustainable business models for long-term growth.
The event, with more than 400 invited local and international business leaders and guests, will take place on July 19 at the Plaza Athenee Hotel.
The gala dinner will feature a speech on “The Future of Asia” by Professor Surakiart Sathirathai, a former deputy prime minister and foreign minister and chairman of the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council.
With the turmoil in the global economy and financial markets, the conference will open with a keynote address by Prasarn Trairatvorakul, governor of the Bank of Thailand, on the topic of “Asian and Thai Economies in a Volatile World”.
The conference will split into two roundtables, on the economic future and on sustainability. They will be joined by CEOs nominated by editors of Asia News Network from their countries. The CEOs are from companies demonstrating excellence in their products and services.
For the first session on “Business Vision 2020”, the speakers are Kyoichi Tanada, managing officer of Toyota Motor; Chartsiri Sophonpanich, president of Bangkok Bank; Paduka Timothy Ong Teck Mong, chairman of Asia Inc Forum in Brunei; Ngo Thanh Tung, chairman of Vietnam International Law Firm; Zaw Zaw, chairman of Max Myanmar Group; and Paul Blanche-Horgan, CEO of Ezecom Corp from Cambodia.
