SkySoft to distribute Panda anti-virus software

Panda Security has appointed SkySoft as its country partner to distribute anti-virus software in Thailand, expecting to generate revenue of about US$500,000 (Bt15.6 billion) per year and market growth of 50 per cent.
Ramon Fernandez, Asia-Pacific regional manager of Panda Security, a cloud-based security-solutions company based in Spain, said Thailand was its second-biggest market in Southeast Asia after Malaysia.
Through SkySoft, the firm now offers anti-virus software and cloud security solutions to both the retail and corporate markets.
Panda Cloud Office Protection is for workstations, laptops and servers. Meanwhile, the Panda Security Antivirus Solution is for computers.
Arom Phornpraphan, managing director of SkySoft, said it provided Panda Security products to cover all business segments as well as the home-use market. The company has authorised ITDC and Prism Solutions to distribute anti-virus and security solutions. The products will be distributed via IT City, Se-Ed bookstores nationwide and online.
The firm plans to announce Panda Mobile security software in the next couple of months. This product protects Android smart phones, tablets and other devices against viruses, malicious programs and other threats. SkySoft expects to be in the top three of the market by the end of next year.
