Rice-pledging funding above limit

Accumulated government funding to the rice-pledging scheme has reached Bt760 billion, according to the Finance Ministry's data.
This is well above the Bt500 billion limit.
This is the accumulated sum having been spent since the scheme was kicked off in 2011.
An anonymous source told Krungthep Turakij that to date, the Commerce Ministry has remitted only Bt114 billion to the Finance Ministry. This sum derived from the release of rice stockpiles.
