Foreigners dump more Thai shares

Foreign investors dumped more of Thai shares on Thursday, in line with a regional sell-off after losses on Wall Street and ahead of next week's key US Federal Reserve policy meeting.

Investors are awaiting the result of the two-day Fed policy meeting, with speculation rife that the bank will announce a cut in its US$85 billion a month bond-purchasing scheme.
In the Thai stock market, foreign net-sell was valued at Bt3.5 billion. This brought the cumulative net-buy this month to Bt29 billion and net-buy so far this year to Bt182.46 billion.
At 1,356.21 points, down 13.14 points from the previous closing, the Stock Exchange of Thailand index has been 1.62 per cent lower than end-2012 level.
