SCB's 2013 net profit may be highest

Siam Commercial Bank could likely be the Thai commercial bank which reported the highest annualised net profit in 2013, at Bt50.232 billion.
The bank reported Thursday that the net profit rose 28.4 per cent from Bt39.235 billion in 2012 to Bt50.232 billion.
Also announcing the results today is Kasikornbank. Its earning rose by 17.2 per cent from Bt35.26 billion in 2012 to Bt41.325 billion.
At press time, Bangkok Bank and Krungthai Bank - two of the top four banks which control some 80 per cent of the market share - have not yet released the results.
Meanwhile, TMB Bank's 2013 earning nearly five folds from Bt1.26 billion a year earlier to Bt5.74 billion.
