Public debt at Bt5.47tn in January

The Public Debt Management Office revealed on Wednesday that Thailand's public debt edged up in January.
The public debt at end-January stood at Bt5.466 trillion or 45.75 per cent of gross domestic product.
As of December, public debt stood at Bt5.45 trillion or 45.71 per cent of GDP.
In January, the public debt rose by Bt16 billion, as the government's direct borrowing and financial state enterprises' borrowing rose by Bt11.33 billion and Bt5.38 billion, respectively.
