Data usage was 25 per cent higher than usual during 4.30pm on Thursday to today noon, according to a mobile phone operator, Total Access Communication.
The military imposed curfew yesterday, from 10pm, while all radio and television broadcasting was cut off.
Dtac noted that it is monitoring the political situation and security-related developments, with the top priority to safeguard its employees and assets, as well as to ensure an operational mobile network. Adjustments to security precautions will be made if necessary.
