The department’s director-general, Prasong Poontaneat, added that in order to reach this goal, the department would improve its staff and IT capacity while tax loopholes will be plugged. The department is targeting Bt1.96 trillion revenue in fiscal 2015.
BUILDER LOWERS TARGET
Ch Karnchang, the country’s second-largest construction firm, has set a revenue target of about Bt30 billion for next year, lower than this year’s estimated Bt33 billion revenue, which included extra income from sale of its subsidiary’s shares.
CEO and president Plew Trivisvavet said yesterday that for next year’s business expansion, the company would focus on projects to be launched by the government, especially the Green Line electric train project for the Morchit-Saphan Mai-Kukot section with an investment of Bt25 billion. Other projects are construction of the Orange Line and Pink Line electric trains as well as the doubling of rail roads.
“We hope to win at least one route of those mentioned projects,” he said. Plew said the company also hoped it would be awarded the extension of the Blue Line electric train project worth Bt20 billion. Plew also revealed that the company was studying feasibility of small co-generation power plants in industrial estates in Thailand and tap water in Myanmar.
