Kungval Kusoltammaratana, chief executive officer of International Research Corporation, said yesterday that the company hoped this year’s profit would rise by 110 per cent from the Bt60 million earned last year, thanks to Bt1 billion in jobs already lined up.
It plans to raise capital and shift its listing from the Market for Alternative Investment to the Stock Exchange of Thailand next year.
In the first nine months of this year, IRCP earned Bt118 million on revenue of Bt1.28 billion. It expects about Bt200 million in revenue this last quarter of the year.
The revenue target for next year excludes business acquisitions and investment in a waste-fired power plant.
The company’s current backlog will gradually be booked as revenue until the second quarter of next year. It plans to bid for digital TV network projects from MCOT worth Bt400 million and from the Public Relations Department worth Bt700 million.
The company estimates the value of the digital TV transmission market at Bt2 billion to Bt3 billion and is ready to tender for a portion of the business.
It plans to bid with a business partner for the locomotive project of the Airport Rail Link as well as a fourth-generation Internet broadband project.
As for the Bt300-million investment in the waste-fired power plant in the North with at least two companies, IRCP expects a clear picture by the end of this month. IRCP’s investment share will be about Bt100 million in the plant, which will initially produce 1.8 megawatts from 100 tonnes of garbage.
As for solar-cell investment, IRCP has suspended a feasibility study, as the return on investment is not worthwhile compared with the waste-fired power plant.
