Banker misculculates over show Following only one week of airtime, Channel 3's TV drama Abb Ruk Online (Secret Online Love) is a hit.

Thiti Tantikulanan, head of Kasikornbank’s Capital Markets Business Division, isn’t a fan of the drama but he is playing a role in its production.
Following a personal request by Ann Thongprasom, the show’s producer and one of its principal actors, Thitih has allowed the station to shoot scenes at the bank’s trading room on Phaholyothin Road. He has even allowed Ann to shoot in his office.
But the permission came with a condition. Ann must join a seminar being organised by his division.
Her popularity would certainly draw a large number of people to the seminar on expanding business volume.
Ann agreed. But the problem is the seminar has not been prepared and TV series these days can last up to two months.
Upon learning this fact, Thiti was stunned.
Who would have thought that having zero interest in a TV series would lead to this financial expert making such a bad calculation.

Narongchai haunted by persistent fire drill
Energy Minister Narongchai Akrasanee was forced to cease a press conference last week because of a fire drill.
The drill occurred at the Energy Complex, where the ministry is located.
Featuring the recorded voices of instructors, it seemed to last forever.
That prompted PTT chief executive Pailin Chuchottaworn to instruct an official to stop the drill.
When it stopped, the minister resumed the press conference but was forced to stop again when the drill resumed.
“There is no coordination,” Narongchai complained.
Apparently, the drill was scheduled before the press conference was set and no one was aware of the clash.
After addressing the media, a “thank you” party was held for reporters and featured a lucky draw and live music.
The minister and other senior officials presented gifts to reporters who took part in the lucky draw.
