KPN Academy wins Bt375m loan
KPN Academy successfully tapped a Bt375 million loan from CIMB Thai Bank, in its quest to expand the business ahead of regional integration.
The loan will help KPN Academy expand the network to cover 20 branches in 2015.
Nop Narongdej, KPN Group president, said Thailand and the rest of Asean have demonstrated growth potential, driven by a large pool of population and the growing size of the middle class. It is estimated that until 2030, two thirds of global business will be generated by education and human resource development, as the middle-class population would increase by 1 billion.
"KPN Group has clear business goals and the vision that should win supports. Its education-centric businesses are consolidated for synergy in human resource development. It aims to play a leading role in this segment and plans to expand business to neighbouring countries and list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand," said CIMB Thai President and CEO Subhak Siwaraksa.
