PTT steps into energy management business
PTT Retail Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT, has entered into a joint venture with Osaka Gas (Thailand) to offer energy management solutions to the industrial sector.
OGP Energy Solutions will have Bt200 million in registered capital.
Chakree Buranakanon, senior executive vice president of PTT, said that OGP is offering engineering consultant service for industrial plants which are switching from other types of fuel to natural gas. OGP will also source necessary machinery and small pipelines linking industrial plants with the main pipeline. Target companies are small and medium-sized industrial plants.
"The joint venture is a strategy to boost natural gas distribution and offer new energy choices to the industrial sector," he said.
