‘Jobs for Malaysians’
There are jobs for Malaysians despite the current global economic slowdown, said Dr Wee Ka Siong, minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
He said the government had projected economic growth of between 4 and 5 per cent this year due to both domestic and foreign investments, meaning that there would be opportunities for all.
“Seven out of 10 employers have stated that they were maintaining or even increasing their human-resource intake in the third and fourth quarters of 2015.
“The government believes that there will be jobs for Malaysians and there will be growth in our economy this year,” he told reporters after launching the fourth Johor Career and Post Graduate Expo.
Wee also urged Malaysians, especially graduates, not to be choosy in finding jobs as they needed to start from the bottom to become successful in their careers. – The Star
