Government Savings Bank is opening a new round of registrations for people who are still interested in the Baan Pracha Rath housing loans after the total value of shortlisted applicants was below its allocated budget of Bt20 billion.
GSB president Chatchai Payuhanaveechai said yesterday that 17,243 applicants, or 55 per cent of the total of 31,352, qualified for home loans under the programme. This amount added up to Bt18.99 billion. To date, the GSB has approved 1,300 customers to get the home loans with total value of Bt1.4 billion.
As a result, there is about Bt3 billion to Bt5 billion available for a new round of registrations, which will be accepted from today until April 30.
OIL, GAS FIRMS INVEST MORE IN DIGITAL TECH
As global oil and gas companies, including from Thailand, scrutinise every dollar invested, they are spending smarter on digital technologies, seeking to drive value and reduce costs amid low oil and gas prices, according to a new survey by Accenture and Microsoft Corp.
Over the next three to five years, 80 per cent of oil and gas companies plan to spend the same (30 per cent of respondents), more (36 per cent), or significantly more (14 per cent) on digital technologies as they do now, according to the survey, now in its fifth edition.
This continued investment in digital is due to respondents’ confidence that digital technologies can continue to help them drive leaner, smarter organisations.
Respondents to the 2016 Oil and Gas Digital Trends Survey included international oil companies, independents and oilfield-services firms.
