PANTIP PRATUNAM is cooperating with Synergy Technology set up “Syn Hub”, a co-working space for tech start-ups, by the end of this month.

Niti Mekmok, managing director of Synergy Technology, said the company would invest around Bt20 million to set up Syn Hub as a co-working facility and smart office covering 300 square metres on the fourth floor of Pantip Pratunam.
The hub will also provide laboratories, business consultants and business matching and help to develop prototypes such as smart automation for start-ups. The co-working space will have around 100 seats, each providing high-speed Internet, a smart locker and coffee. The daily fee will be Bt280.
Pantip Pratunam has spent a couple of years renovating the complex as a “tech life mall”, investing around Bt300 million. It expects to be welcoming around 35,000 visitors per day by the end of this year.
Sansern Na Patthalung, asset manager at Pantip Plaza, said the complex now had about 20,000 visitors a day, but expected that number to rise – and for people to hang out there longer to enjoy the experience – after the renovated “tech life mall” is officially opened on August 8.
He said Pantip Pratunam now had around 300 shops, half of them specialising in information technology, and about 15 per cent of them gadget shops.
Its total area is 36,000 square metres.
