Rajah & Tann Asia appoints new Thai partner

Rajah & Tann Asia, a regional law firm, is strengthening its Bangkok office with the appointment of a veteran lawyer as its partner.

Effective September 1, Piroon Saengpakdee serves as a partner in the general corporate commercial practice of Rajah & Tann (Thailand). His focus is on project development and finance, including banking and finance, debt restructuring and insolvency, as well as employment law matters. Piroon has represented major Thailand banks and foreign lenders in transactions involving a wide range of industries in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar including energy and resources, infrastructure, manufacturing, as well as telecommunications and technology companies. Prior to commencing his private law firm legal career, he spent time with the Council of the State and the Department of Labour Protection.

Bangkok was the sixth office for Rajah & Tann in Asia and the third in Indochina when it was opened in February 2012. Today, it has around 50 lawyers servicing local and regional clients.
