Fiber One has joined hands with Sammakorn to usher in the digital age under the concept “smart homes-smart living-smart society”.

Fiber One has installed a smart home fibre optic network to respond to Sammakorn’s mission – “We not only build homes, we’re also building society”.
Fibre optic networks were extended to 14 gated-communities and condominiums in the developer’s property portfolio.
Two pilot projects have gone live with high-speed fibre optic networks connected to Sammakorn Bangkapi and S9 condominium.
The goal of the project is to deploy broadband Internet connectivity to support the digital lifestyle.
“We foresee the global trend is changing and we are now stepping into the digital age,” said Kitti Kosinsakul, CEO of Fiber One.
“Digitisation is becoming part and parcel of our daily life. Therefore, fibre optic networks are seen as important infrastructure that provides convenient, fast and responsive access to the Internet’s vast array of platforms.
“People’s surfing behaviour has changed and they are no longer prepared to wait 30 seconds or more before connecting. They will simply change their minds and connect to another brand.
“Our fibre optic network provides gigabit-per-second connectivity – a truly high-speed Internet, which is a must for the modern digital world.”
Kittipol Pramoj Na Ayudhya, managing director of Sammakorn, said cooperating with Fiber One was part of the company’s mission statement.
“We believe the trend of smart homes-smart living-smart society is being driven by the new generation’s requirement for an ‘always on’ digital lifestyle.
“For example, we install CCTVs so that homeowners can monitor their property via their mobile phone.
“This gives them the ability to keep an eye on their elders or young children, switch on the air-conditioning 20 minutes before arriving home, turn on certain lights in the home and even record their favourite TV programmes all by the push of a button.
“The fully digital service also includes fibre TV and electric devices that are Internet-connected, which ultimately allows for more functionality.”
