Esso refinery closes for scheduled upgrade

Esso (Thailand) notified the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Tuesday that it had begun shutting down its Gasoil Hydrofiner 3, Continuous Catalytic Reformer and Atmospheric Pipestill 1 for 40 days of scheduled maintenance aimed at improving efficiency and reliability.
During that period, the refinery’s production would be reduced by approximately 58,000 barrels per day, it said. 
But the company has secured inventory from other sources to ensure continuous supply for the interim, it said, and no significant impact on sales is anticipated.
