Cooling units, cool electronics on show in September

The latest in refrigeration units and computer hard drives will be on view at the Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E twin trade shows coming to Bitec in Bang Na from September 7-10.
The government’s Department of International Trade Promotion, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club, the Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications and Allied Industry Club, and the Thai Refrigeration Association are jointly staging the dual event.
“Thailand is an important manufacturing hub for these products – we’re now the world’s No 1 producer and exporter of hard disk drives used in cloud computing for social networks. And business is growing every year,” said Malee Choklamlert, director general of the Department of International Trade Promotion.
“We’re also the No 4 refrigerator producer in the world, so the quality of Thai products is globally accepted,” she added.
Malee said the event has “Eco Innovation for a Sustainable Future” as one of its themes, in a nod to environmental concerns, and “Smart Innovation for an Ultimate Lifestyle” as another, acknowledging the newly developed products that promise greater convenience, such as electrical appliances that can be controlled via smartphones.
The organisers expect 1,000 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from Thailand, along with buyers from South and Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
“We expect as much as Bt3 billion in sales during the event,” Malee said.
