Crystal Drinking Water, which held a 21.5-per-cent market share in Thailand in June, was named Most Selected Brand 2017 and given the Brand Footprint Award in the Rising Beverage Brand category.

Banjongjitt Angsusingh, director-general of the Department of Business Development at the Ministry of Commerce, and Howard Chang, general manager and president of market research firm Kantar Worldpanel (Thailand), presented the award to Lester Teck Chuan Tan, president of Sermsuk, the producer and distributor of Crystal, at a ceremony in Bangkok on July 24.
“Trust in quality drinking water is crucial to Crystal securing this award,” Tan said. “This is proof that Crystal is the No 1 choice for drinking water among Thai consumers, corresponding to their need for clean, safe and reliable drinking water, in addition to being guaranteed by five certifications for quality production, and a strong distribution network covering the entire country.”
Crystal was the first Thai brand to receive certification from United States-based NSF International. It received a Thai Food and Drug Administration Quality Award for four consecutive years. It has an ISO 22000 Food Safety Management certification and Halal certification for Muslim consumers.
It also carries a “Carbon Footprint Reduction” label issued by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation for its efforts to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, the main cause of global warming.
