Yum Thailand shares around the KFC

Yum Restaurants International Thailand, the franchise owner of KFC, has announced tat a third KFC franchiser will operate in the country.

 


 
It has signed an agreement The QSR of Asia Co (QSA), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) that will acquire and renovate more than 240 KFC restaurants.
 Yum Thailand’s refranchising effort is part of parent company Yum! Brands’ strategy to accelerate the global growth of KFC through franchise partnerships and a focus on brand innovation. Its is aiming to have at least 800 KFC restaurants in Thailand over the next several years.

Nongnuch Buranasetkul, managing director of Food of Asia, which manages QSA, said the company was excited to join the KFC family.

Currently, there are 601 KFC restaurants nationwide, operated by Central Restaurant Group, Restaurant Development and Yum Thailand. The transfer of Yum Thailand’s restaurants to QSA is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
