Kasikorn Research predicts slower growth

Kasikorn Research Centre reported that Thailand’s economic growth continues this year, hitting 3.4 per cent in the first half.

The second quarter growth was 3.7 per cent, higher than an earlier estimated 3.2 per cent, the subsidiary of Kasikornthai Bank said on Monday.
"We have continued to maintain growth. Signals suggest slower growth in the second half of the year because the strong baht will impact the country’s exports and floods in the third quarter will impact the country’s economy,” said the centre.
