  • For international travel, the company runs 12 bus routes connecting Thailand with Laos, including services such as Nong Khai–Vientiane and Bangkok–Pakse.
  • To prepare for the peak tourist and festive season, the company is ready to adjust the number of bus departures to match increased passenger demand.

The Transport Company Limited has provided an update on its domestic and cross-border bus network for the peak tourist season, according to its president, Atthawit Rakjamroon.

The company is ready to match the number of departures on each route to demand from the public and tourists to make travel easier and support domestic tourism.

The company currently operates 78 domestic bus routes covering every region of Thailand.

  • Northern routes: The 26 routes include Bangkok–Chiang Mai, Bangkok–Chiang Rai, Bangkok–Mae Sot, Bangkok–Khlong Lan, Bangkok–Nan and Bangkok–Lom Sak–Khao Kho.

The company also operates 12 bus routes linking Thailand and Laos, giving the public and tourists more choice and making cross-border travel easier.

These include Nong Khai–Vientiane, Bangkok–Pakse, Nakhon Phanom–Thakhek and Bueng Kan–Bolikhamxay.

Atthawit added that the company’s buses and those of its partner operators carry about 80,000 to 95,000 passengers a day on average across outbound and return services.

Together, they run about 6,000 trips a day, a level of activity he said reflected sustained demand for public bus travel.

The company is ready to manage services and monitor passenger numbers closely to ensure there are enough buses for people travelling home or taking holidays during the winter and year-end festive season.

It is committed to upholding standards of convenience, comfort and safety on every route.
