More private firms certified as ‘bribe-free’

The Private Sector Collective Action Coalition against Corruption Council has certified 34 more companies that have adopted policies and compliance standards to prevent graft, boosting the total number of certified companies to 264.

Another 846, including 403 listed companies, have declared their intention to adopt the same measures.
“There is a great variety among the certified companies this quarter,” coalition Secretary General Bandid Nijathaworn noted.
“They include companies in the financial and real estate sectors, manufacturing and service companies, and listed and non-listed, as well as units of multinational corporations.
“Such variety demonstrates that private businesses are alert and value the significance of anti-corruption mechanisms. They want to be part of a transparent and bribe-free business environment.”
