Early-rising AirAsia flyers can beat the traffic

AirAsia is encouraging early-morning travel by adding more flights on its two most popular routes. There will be 13 Don Mueang-Chiang Mai flights and 18 Don Mueang-Phuket flights a day.

Starting on October 29, flights departing as early as 3.35am will have the same low price of Bt390.
Thai AirAsia commercial director Santisuk Klongchaiya said demand on these routes has continued to grow, so more flights have been added to help early risers avoid highway traffic and airport congestion.
He said early-morning flights would be added on other routes in the future.
Don Mueang-Phuket flights will depart starting at 3.35am, Don Mueang-Chiang Mai flights at 5.10am.
