Social roles for companies in the spotlight
CSR Asia Summit 2017, an annual conference on corporate social responsibility, opened yesterday in Bangkok at the Amari Watergate Hotel. The conference, which is being held for the second time Thailand, ends today.
The event has attracted 500 thought leaders and business executives, all committed to tackling pressing challenges, discussing emerging trends, exploring opportunities, and identifying sustainable solutions for Thailand and Asia, Richard Welford, chairman and founder of CSR Asia, said yesterday.
The event brings together representative from over 30 countries representing a diverse range of sectors, including international organisations like Huawei, adidas, Microsoft, Unilever, IKEA, and Visa; local organisations such as Thai Union, and SCG; members of civil society including the United Nations, the Global Child Forum, UNICEF; academic organisations including Korea's Chung-Ang University and Kyorin
