Wattanapat Hospital Trang made its debut on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Tuesday as “WPH”, the first private hospital in southern Thailand to be listed.

WPH boasts advanced technology and 60 years of healthcare expertise. It operates the private, 120-bed Wattanapat Hospital Trang in southern Trang province.
The hospital cares for corporate-contract patients and foreign tourists as well as the general populace. It offers one-stop medical care services for Trang residents and those of neighbouring provinces and maintains an “international” medical clinic in Krabi.
WPH offered shares to the general public via a September 20-22 initial public offering at Bt3.90 each, for a total of Bt585 million.
Chief executive Somchai Chansawang said the funds raised would be used to build a 59-bed hospital in Ao Nang in Krabi and expand the hospital in Trang to 212 beds.
Special-purpose clinical rooms would also be added at the Trang facility to meet growing demand, he said.
