Members of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission yesterday elected Sukit Khamasundara as the new NBTC chairman, according to secretary-general Thakorn Tanthasit.
Sukit was picked to replace Air Chief Marshal Thares Punsri, who reached the mandatory age of 70 on Thursday.

MAJOR CINEPLEX IN FIRST WITH SAMSUNG SCREEN

Major Cineplex Group yesterday partnered with Samsung to introduce what it calls the next generation in cinema display technology. The Samsung Cinema LED Screen will make its Southeast Asian debut at Paragon Cineplex.
Developed to replace standard projectors at cinemas, Cinema LED Screen promises immersive entertainment in 4K resolution that maximise brightness and viewing clarity. 
The use of Cinema LED Screen also allows cinemas to host various activities suiting the needs of modern-day customers such as seminars, fashion shows, tutoring days, as well as live of broadcasting concerts or sporting events. Samsung aims to install the screens in 10 per cent of cinemas across the world by 2020.
