LOANS TO THE ELDERLY
The Government Savings Bank has introduced a Reverse Mortgage Loan programme in support of the growing number of elderly people in the country. It has prepared a budget of Bt10 billion for the first phase with zero interest rate for the first two years, the bank' s president Chatchai Payuhanaveecha said yesterday.
Special interest rate will be offered to customers applying from now until March 31, 2018.
The bank will provide up to Bt10 million per applicant, aged between 60-80 years, he said.
NOKSCOOT ON THE MOVE
NokScoot Airlines celebrates ICAO's lifting of the red flag against Thailand by unveiling plans to expand its aircraft fleet and grow its route network.
The plans include induction of more aircraft in the next 6 months and new routes from its base at Don Mueang International Airport to destinations in China, India, Japan and South Korea.
Chokchai Panyayong, Chairman of NokScoot Airlines, congratulated the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand for successfully meeting the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Chokchai added “The resultant removal of the significant safety concerns against Thailand is an immensely positive result for the country's aviation and tourism industries, and bodes well for the continued growth in the number of visitors to Thailand".
NokScoot's expansion starts with the induction of its fourth B777-200 aircraft later this month, which will allow for increased frequencies on existing routes to Tianjin, Tsingtao and Shenyang, and launch of a new route to Xian in China.
