Effective for three years, the agreement is part of WHA Group’s “Clean Water for Planet CSR” initiative.
It covers the joint organisation by WHA and Chula’s Faculty of Engineering of practical training courses for the executives and staff of Laem Chabang City Municipality on wastewater management and treatment.
This agreement follows the signing, in September 2016, of an initial MoU between WHA and the faculty that enabled students, through a custom-built curriculum, to develop new technologies in water management and treatment.
The Faculty of Engineering will provide experts and academic knowledge, while WHA will open its Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate to the trainees.
The scope of the MoU also covers the utmost use of treated water for sustainable water management, with the hope of seeing this initiative serve as a successful pilot project for wastewater treatment in communities nationwide.
