The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) meeting yesterday resolved to maintain the fuel tariff in the first four months of next year (January-April 2018) minus 15.90 satang per kilowatt-hour unit despite the rising cost of fuel, Viraphol Jirapraditkul, director of ERC and spokeman said.
He added that the ERC will spend the budgeted Bt12 billion of the oil fund to subsidise the loss.
Following the decision, people will pay Bt3.5966 per unit (excluding VAT) for their electricity, he said.
