
Last month’s registrations had a combined capital of Bt68.46 billion, around 75 per cent higher than in the prior month, said the department’s director-general, Kulanee Issadisai.
The top three sectors for newly registered businesses during the month were property, construction and retail.
A total of 68,212 companies were registered during the first nine months – up 14 per cent from the same period last year – with capital of Bt372.7 billion, she said.
The department expects the full-year number of newly registered firms to hit 70,000, some 8 per cent more than the 2016 level, and that more than 75,000 businesses will be registered next year, Kulanee added.
