TMB Analytics eyes 4.2% Thai economic growth this year
TMB Analytics forecasts that Thailand’s economy will grow by 4.2 per cent this year, thanks to both the private sector and the government expanding their investment during the course of the year.
The research house is also confident that the banking sector will improve this year in terms of both loan quality and the volume of new lending to support the private sector in expanding its investment, it said on Monday.
TMB Analytics has also revised upward its estimate of the country’s economic growth last year, from 3.8 per cent to 4 per cent, following stronger global economic expansion and strong Thai export growth during the year.
