The company’s management reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that in 2017 THAI and its subsidiaries posted a total revenue of Bt191.94 billion, increased by Bt11.38 billion (6.3 per cent) resulting from the increase in passenger and excess baggage revenue, freight and mail revenue, and revenue from other activities.
Meanwhile, its total expense of Bt189.09 billion showed an increase of Bt12.60 billion (7.1 per cent) resulting from the increase in fuel expense by Bt4.87 billion (10.8 per cent), a 24.2 per cent rise in jet fuel prices and the increase of traffic production.
Its non-fuel operating expense also increased by Bt8.31 billion (6.6 per cent) due to the increase of traffic production and passenger traffic. Maintenance and overhaul expenses also increased.
