TrueOnline offers new fixed-line broadband service

TRUEONLINE, the broadband service of True Corp, has launched a new fixed-line broadband service with a maximum connection speed of one gigabit per second to meet the needs of household users with huge bandwidth demand.

The “True Fiber 1Gbps”, now available in Bangkok, is offered at a starting package price of Bt2,999 monthly.
It comes with three optional packages, each bundled with choices of True group's mobile phone and pay TV services. The new service will be offered in the provinces next month.
Saharat Kanongsilp, director and head of Commercial True Online & Convergence at True Corp, said yesterday that the new service aims to attract around 100,000 subscribers within a year, adding that the target group is people of high spending, high demand, and high expectation.
He said that the total number of subscribers of fixed broadband Internet service in Thailand is expected to reach around 11 million in 2020 from between 6 million to 7 million currently, of which approximately 42 per cent uses True network.
The company plans to reach a total of around 4 million broadband subscribers this year, up from around 3.3 million at present.
Last year, True had a 53 per cent share of the broadband Internet market in Bangkok, and 20 per cent in the provinces, he said.
“True Group is determined to continue developing its communications network, after becoming the leader in both wired and wireless broadband internet. Our latest ‘True Fiber 1 Gbps’ packages have been launched at competitive prices, available for all families requiring gigabit internet speed and greater bandwidth for video streaming and viewing of high-resolution contents as well as for simultaneous uses on multiple devices,” Saharat added.
