EGAT TO CUT WORKERS
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) plans to cut its staff number from 21,000 to 15,000 in 2023 under a business restructuring plan, said Witoon Kulcharoenwirat, chairman of board after a meeting yesterday.
Witoon is also director-general of Energy Business Department of the Energy Ministry. The board also approved to reduce the number of deputy governors from 13 to 8 next year, after the retirements of three.
